I will be out of class today at a workshop.  Mr. Swink will be my substitute today.

Your assignments are as follows:

Study Guide for chapters 21 and 22.  Fill in all the answers and turn it in when finished.  All the answers will be found in the book.  You will need to read in order to find them all.  You need to do this individually.

Complete the Children's Mini-Book from yesterday.  It should be titled "Life during the Great Depression".  Just use chapter 21 only.  Do not get into the New Deal yet.

If there is any time left, there will be a Century video called "Stormy Weather".

Using your textbook, you are to complete the study guide (front and back) and turn it in.

Then, in the time left, I want you to write an acrostic using the word IMPERIALISM.  Complete this just like we did with IMMIGRATION a couple of weeks ago.  You should use each letter to start the beginning of a sentence that describes or explains something about imperialism.  There should be plenty of ideas in your textbook or on your study guide.  This needs to be turned in as well.

I will be out today.  You are to complete a project working in groups of no more than 3.  You are to complete the Front Page of a newspaper filling it with information about the 1920s.  All the instructions can be found by accessing the following link.

The newspaper is to be completed on the 14'X28"poster paper stacked on the back counter.  Be creative using lots of aesthetically pleasing artwork and design.  Remember to plan it out on notebook paper first!  Might be a good idea to do everything on paper and then cut it out and paste it on your poster board.
